What I do as an Integrative Health Specialist

I practice a mind body approach to health and wellness by looking at how the areas of your life connect. Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? Does the inability to concentrate affect your job performance? As we work together, we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole, especially in the context of auto immune thyroid disease and hypothyroidism. Many of my clients suffered from the loss of a loved one or a severe trauma right before the onset of their symptoms. Life trauma can activate a predisposition and so can the stress of trying to please everyone and not creating boundaries around our own life.



I want to equip you with the self-awareness to make the best decisions for yourself in any given circumstance. By listening to your body’s cues, each person is fully capable of making well-informed decisions as their own health expert. No fad diet book necessary. Let’s define what you value most from your well-being. We’ll use these visions to motivate specific goals that bring you closer to where you want to be. As your coach, I don’t have to dictate a diet for you if that’s not what you want, but together we will explore why some foods make you feel better than others and how to strategically use that feedback. Together we’ll co-create your health goals within reasonable time frames and actionable objectives so you know exactly what you’re working toward.

I’ll support you to make positive changes that are based on your individual needs and what's optimal for your thyroid. We'll also discuss the most common nutrient deficiencies in people with thyroid disease and which supplements may help.


Minimize Inflammation

Getting a handle on inflammation is the key to putting autoimmune thyroid disease into remission. We set up our bodies to heal when we minimize inflammation. Part of this step is dependent on the health of our gut/intestinal lining. Removing irritants, repairing the gut and restoring it with beneficial bacteria are the goals here.

We will look at the role of Diet and Lifestyle in disease along with Stress Reduction, Gluten Sensitivity, Food shopping for optimal health, How to do food reintroductions, Which nutrients to supplement with and why, How to discern good supplements from bad supplements, Explanations and Educational reading, Goal setting and Time management. Also included is an easy to use food journal which allows you to see exactly how different foods affect you. Recipes, batch cooking tips, how to save money on food shopping, specialized exercises that can help the thyroid are also part of my three and six month programs.

Labs can be very helpful in making initial assessments and tracking progress. However, you do not need to have labs done prior to your session(s). The best gauge of progress is how you feel. We implement healthy and positive changes that will have a beneficial impact on overall wellbeing.

A health coach is a conduit between the patient and their doctor. Together, we make short and long term changes toward better health. People use health coaches to help with a variety of health issues, such as weight loss, stress reduction, the management of chronic conditions, improving diet and exercise, cessation of tobacco usage, addiction, and adjusting to a life-altering health event, etc.

I am not a doctor.  My session(s) are not a substitute for medical advice. They are a guide to positive lifestyle changes to better your health and wellbeing.

That is entirely up to you. I’ve had clients implement my suggestions and changes and experience a reduction of symptoms in as little as two weeks.

Refund Policies

If for any reason you are not satisfied with a session bundle, unused sessions are refundable if 48 hours prior notice of cancellation is given. Sessions can be rescheduled if 24 hours prior notice is given.
